Janet L. Finkbiner, 70
GREENWOOD — Janet L. Finkbiner passed away Saturday, Nov.15, 2014 in Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center, Millsboro. She is the daughter of the late Henry and Kaye Hamilton.
Mrs. Finkbiner was a homemaker and took great care of her family. She loved to make crafts, paint, and do floral arranging. Mrs. Finkbiner also loved nature and animals. She loved her cats and enjoyed
driving around to watch the deer out in the fields. She also enjoyed relaxing while swinging on her porch swing.
She will be remembered as a strong and determined person who loved and cared for her family like no other. She will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Finkbiner attended the Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church in Greenwood.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Finkbiner of Greenwood; son, Tim (Andrea) Finkbiner of Millsboro; daughter, Jill (Fred) Thornton of Moncks Corner, S.C.; brothers, Lewis Hamilton of Greenwood, Mike Smith of Seaford; sisters, Lois Wheatley of Lewes, Robin Mellard of Moncks Corner, S.C.; four grandchildren, Nicole, Dylan, Connor, Freddy; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
