James D. Fibelkorn (“Jim”) of Harrington, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73. Jim was one of eight children born to the late William and Katherine Fibelkorn.

Jim was a Master Electrician who was well known, respected, and deeply loved by all who knew him. He spent his life bringing light into homes, and into the lives of everyone he touched. He also had a gift for making people laugh. There was never a dull moment in his presence, and he was rarely seen without a smile.

He loved fishing and took great pride in being the captain of his boat. Jim also enjoyed cooking breakfast and grilling for his family, always happiest when bringing everyone together. In his younger years, he loved playing softball and was often recognized for his unmistakable “grunt” on the field.

A man of strong faith, Jim was a proud supporter of Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis. His faith, kindness, and joyful spirit touched many lives, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

To those who knew him best, Jim was home: steady, warm, and full of love.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Terry Fibelkorn; his children, Mike Hazeltine, Brandon Elliott, and Jenny Garey; five grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Jim’s legacy lives on in every cast of a fishing line, every family meal shared, and in the laughter and love he gave so freely to those around him.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
