Helen Lambert

Helen F. Lambert, 90, of Earleville, Md., formerly Sussex County, DE, passed away July 13, 2022 at home with family by her side.

Helen was raised in Wilmington and graduated from P.S. DuPont HS 1949.  After graduation, she went to work for the DuPont Co., followed by various other employment over the years, retiring, moving to Sussex County and working at Beebe Hospital.   She had an admirable work ethic and made many lasting co-worker friends.  A single Mother of 3, at times working 2-3 jobs, she faced adversity and challenging times but always kept a positive attitude and a pleasant disposition.  Helen enjoyed golf, gardening, puzzles, football, day trips, friends and family and grand critters. She was always willing to house & critter sit when asked to cover vacations.  Helen loved the pets and they loved her all the way to the end when her (Labradoodle) Grand Pup Captain jumped up in her hospital bed and took a nap with her.  She will be missed!

She was preceded in death by parents George R. & Elsie M. Ford; son, Ronald F. Lambert; brother, Raymond Ford; nephew, Gary; sister, Barbara Pruitt & her daughters Sandy & Debbie.

She is survived by Ron's wife Ann Lambert of Newark, Daughters Cynthia (Luke) of Lincoln, DE., Holly (Mike) of Shaftsbury, VT., 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
