SEAFORD — Helen Howell of Seaford passed away at her home on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the age of 73. She was born in Milford to the late Theodore and Helen Jory.
Mrs. Howell was a school bus driver for over 21 years. She was a hard working woman who held a second job as a cook at Seaford Pizza King.
Mrs. Howell was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Laurel and a longtime member of Moose Lodge 1385 in Seaford where she held many positions including the past Senior Regent.
Mrs. Howell loved to play shuffle board and she loved her dog Jenny. Family meant a lot to her. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy especially her grandson Blane who could do no wrong in her eyes.
Mrs. Howell was an outgoing, outspoken person who would help anyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, J. Stanley Howell, Sr., of Seaford; son, James S. Howell, Jr. of Seaford; daughters, Stacey French of Bridgeville, Michelle Howell of Bridgeville; and five grandchildren, Lexie Howell, James Howell, III, Blane French, Hailey Walls, and Redden Absher.
Services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will be at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
Family requests donations to defray funeral costs in lieu of flowers.
