Hazel A Robinson

Hazel A Robinson, 76 of Harrington, passed away at Bayhealth Sussex Campus on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Eleanor Rafus-Guyette.

Hazel was a shy person that always put her family first and could never do enough for them. She led a quiet life of service to others and recognized the importance of spending quality time with loved ones. Hazel attended school in a one room school house where she truly did walk a mile up hill in the snow to attend. She didn’t think she was very smart but truly did not give herself enough credit for how intelligent she was. She was a woman of deep faith, who knew her Bible well, and faithfully read the Upper Room devotional daily. Hazel was a committed member of the Asbury UMC for many years.

In addition to her mother, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Mannon “Manny” Robinson, and brother, Tom Rafus.

She is survived by her children, Chad Robinson, April Daigrepont (Jon) and grandson, Jeremy Mahoney; God-daughters who were more like her own children, Heather Williams, Beth Wode and their children who Hazel considered her own grandchildren, Noelle Morrison, Kerstynn Williams, Bryson Williams, Brooke Wode, Dylan Wode and Mackenzie Wode; brother, Larry Longe; sister in law, Phyllis Kohel; best friend, more like a sister, of 52 years, Leah “Snook” Sapp (Larry); and her large extended family in Vermont and New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Asbury Church, 200 Weiner Ave., Harrington, DE 19952 or the Food Bank of Delaware, 102 Delaware Veterans Blvd, Milford DE 19963.

Services will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Ave., Harrington, DE 19952. A visitation will be held at the church two hours prior from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Interment will be private.
