HARRINGTON — Harry C. Brown passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Health Center in Smyrna. He was born April 7, 1933 in Harrington to the late George Clinton and Alexzine (Dean) Brown.

He owned and operated Brownie’s Barber Shop in Frederica for 60 years from 1952 until 2012. He was a Past Master of Masonic Temple, Lodge No. 9 A.F. and A.M. in Milford. He enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry work and restoring antiques. He also enjoyed going to the casino and
playing the slot machines.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Leon and Howard Brown; sisters, Ada B. Graham and Virginia B. Waters; wife, Joan A. Brown; and daughter, Kim B. Robbins.

He is survived by daughters, Sally B. Carnright and Sue B. Smith and her husband Genie; son-in-law, Jeff Robbins; grandsons, Jeffrey Carnright and his wife Dafne; Brian Robbins and his wife Bonnie; Michael Robbins; Matthew Smith; and Ryan Smith and his wife Kim; great-grandson Dylan Carnright; great-granddaughters, Parker, Chloe, and Ashley Robbins; mother of his children, Janet K. Brown; sisters, Ruth B. Melvin and Dorothy B. Wechtenhiser; longtime friends; Telford and Joan Rager; Kenny and Joanna Ryder; George and Lois Davidson; Jack Moore; and Richard Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the entire staff of Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Health Center for all the compassionate care, comfort, and support provided by them during his brief stay.

Private family services were held Thursday, April 9, 2015.
