HARRINGTON — Grace Marie Murray passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her daughter Sharon's home. Marie was born to the late William E. and Mable Elliott.
Mrs. Murray was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, she traveled across 48 states and even into Canada. She also enjoyed search puzzles, and loved to shop.
Mrs. Murray was a strong Christian woman who always put her family first. She was the peace maker of her family and always had a word of encouragement when you were down. She was a very patient and understanding woman who will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Murray was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center of Milford.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Darrell R. Murray Sr.; son Darrell R. Murray Jr.; daughter Marsha Dill; sisters Gertrude Gladys Roy and Bertha Murray.
Marie is survived by her sons Marcus R. (Jean) Murray of Felton, Donald W. (Sue) Murray of Harrington, Michael P. (Sandy) Murray of Harrington; daughters Sharon A. (Dave) Pearce of Harrington, Lorraine A. (Tom) Farrall of Harrington, Terri L. (Brian) Gillespie of Harrington; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on June 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center, Rt. 14, Milford, Del. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening June 12, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
