Glenn Morris of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013, after a short battle with metastatic cancer. He was 44.
Glenn survived two bouts of Hodgkin's Disease as a child, which gave him an appreciation for life that most will never achieve. Glenn grew up outside of Kemblesville, PA, on the family farm where his exposure to tractors, cars, and equipment taught him the mechanics behind nearly every apparatus of work and speed. As a young man he spent many nights drag racing the cars he and his brothers built and as an adult, Glenn enjoyed working with his brother Wayne's Top Alcohol team in NHRA's Lucas Oil Series. Professionally, Glenn left a long time career in retail management with Pep Boy's to freelance auto repair for many years. His greatest enjoyment in life came from working on making houses into homes and fostering the friendships he built around his joy of train collecting as a member of the TCA - Eastern Division. Glenn's lasting imprint will remain the home he created with his wife, Brenda, where his spirit of strength, love, and loyalty will forever be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Morris.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Buker) Morris of Wilmington; mother, Dolores (Williamson) Morris of Lincoln University, PA; brothers, Wayne and Becky Morris of Lincoln University, PA, Bruce and Holly Morris of Wellsboro, PA, Brian and Robin Morris of Lincoln University, PA; sister, Sharon and Michael Lucernoni of Landenberg, PA; mother and father in law, Nancy and Robert Buker of Newark; several nephews and a niece.
A Memorial Service to reflect on Glenn's life will be on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 10 AM, at the Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 627 Vance Neck Road, Middletown, DE 19709.
