HARRINGTON - Frances A. Bonniwell, of Harrington, passed this Earth at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, and spent her first day in Heaven on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
Mrs. Bonniwell owned and operated Busy Bee Ceramics for many years. She loved to collect and make ceramic dolls. Her passion of dolls led her to belong to the Delmarva Doll Club and the Diamond State Doll Club.
Her family was her life. She raised her family on her own after being widowed in 1960. Her children and her grandchildren is what she lived for. She will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Bonniwell was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Church of Harrington.
In addition to her parents, Elmer R. and Amy B. Poynter, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Bonniwell; son, Ray Bonniwell; daughter, Patricia A. Wroten; and sister, Marie Wright.
She is survived by sons, Robert A. Bonniwell of Dover, Larry D. Bonniwell of Seaford; daughter, Rose Marie Bishop of Harrington, Linda S. McBride of New Bern, N.C., and Barbara L. Cox of Harrington; brother, Robert A. Poynter of Felton; son-in-law, Lewis Wroten of Harrington; 16 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where a visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home.
