Florence Eliason Ford Moore, 86, of Bear passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Christiana Hospital. She was the daughter of the late J. Leslie and Florence Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George R. Moore Sr.
Florence was the oldest living member of the Pencader Presbyterian Church in Glasgow. She was an active member of the Cornerstone Sr. Center, where she was the cook and greeter for over 20 years. She was also a member of The Bear Ladies.
Florence loved Rockland Farm and her collection of cows. She was also an avid Phillies fan.
She is survived by her son, G. Robert Moore Jr. and wife Karen of Harrington; daughters, Judith Moore Hudson and husband Clifford of Harrington, Joyce M. Barczewski and husband Stanley of Elkton, MD; her grandchildren and spouses which she loved with all her heart, Laurie and William Harrington, Leslie and Edward McClement, David and Victoria Hudson, Karen and Michael McGee, Mark and April Barczewski, Andrew and Casey Barczewski, Stephanie Rang, Annette and Tim Horack; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; sister, Betty Burge and husband Paul; brother, James L. Ford Jr. and wife Elaine; brother and sister in law, Bill and Barbara Moore; several nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with many friends which she treasured.
Services will be Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 1 PM, at the Cornerstone U.M. Church, 3135 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE 19701. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
