Everett B. 'E.B.' Warrington Jr., 76

Milford — Everett B. 'E.B.' Warrington Jr., passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.  He was the son of the late Everett B. and Pauline Warrington Sr.

E.B. simply had the love of automobiles and tractors in his blood. Starting in his fathers service center, E.B. acquired that love at a young age. You can say he was a car lover from the moment he was born. After graduating from high school, he went to Philadelphia to a school to learn body hop. For over 22 years, he sold Oliver and Massey Ferguson farm machinery. He especially loved the old Oliver tractors and loved to restore them. After that endeavor, he built a facility south of Felton which became the Mary and E.B. Warrington Jr. Inc. Classic Cars. He bought, sold, restored, and collected classic cars. He was a reluctant car salesman, as he hated to part with his prized cars. His memory was as sharp as a tack. He could tell you who bought what car, in what year, where it went, the color and how much it sold for. Many years ago, he won a contest that allowed him to design the rear end of a Chrysler. He retired in 2007, after selling the property to a Kia dealership.

After retiring, E.B. enjoyed going to Arby’s to meet his classmates, the Donut Connection and West Side of Milford were also places frequented regularly to meet friends. As a devoted family man, he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, and also kept a dish full of M&M’s for when they visited. He was a true father figure and cherished all of his children.

E. B. will be remembered as a man of his word. He was very caring, honest, and loving. He truly believed in unconditional friendships, and made friends easily. He will be sadly missed.

E.B. was active in the Felton Fire Company where he was a 50 year member. He was also a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge #9, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of the Valley of Wilmington, and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Felton. He served 3 terms for a total of 15 years on the Lake Forest School Board. E.B. also loved his church, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Laurel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years ,Mary E. Warrington of Milford; children and spouses,Craig Warrington of Milford, Douglas Warrington (Tammy) of Ala., Ronald E. Kauffman of Milford, Rodney E. Kauffman of Fruitland, Md., Bret S. Kauffman of Georgetown Pamela Tatman of Felton, Robbin Sapp of Milford, Melody Calloway (John) of Harrington; sister ,Iris Lee Fuetz of Wisconsin; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
