Emily Ann Havelow, 78
FELTON — Emily Ann Havelow of Felton passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. She was 78. She was the daughter of the late James T. and Marry Morris.
Mrs. Havelow was a homemaker. In her younger years she worked as a seamstress at various places, most notably the Ace Shirt Factory in Harrington. She also had worked at Carroll Sales in Felton as a cook. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing and crotcheting. She used to crotchet dolls and blankets and give them out to the family. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping, and cutting her own grass. She loved to tend to her flowers and her flower pots. She loved her little home at Mastens Corner and took great pride in its upkeep. People remembered her as Emily Ann or “that Little Redhead”.
She will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate person who cared for others above herself. She treated everybody fairly and equally. She always had a positive attitude about life and above all, she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family. Even on Christmas, she made sure to spend equal amounts of time making her rounds at her children’s homes. Her family was her life, she will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Abbrescia and Dr. Patel for their great care and also to the nurses on the cardiac unit, Christina, Audrey, Laura, Samantha, and Cara. They also like to thank the Felton Volunteer Fire Company for their care and service as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Havelow; sister, Anna Mae Hall; mother and father in law, Elizabeth and Charles Irons; father and mother in law, James and Grace Havelow.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Joann) Havelow, Sr. of Felton, Ronald E. Havelow of Lincoln, Randall W. (April Doup) of Felton, Robin M.
