Elaine “Bunny” Theroux, born March 2, 1940 passed away peacefully at Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE on December 13, 2014.
Born in Greenfield, MA, Elaine was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Juskiewicz) Rau. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Jean-Paul Theroux; daughter Karen and her husband Doug, son Todd and wife Katy, daughter Tracey and husband Chris, daughter Lauri and husband Dave and 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother George Rau and his wife Patricia.
She retired from Syracuse University as an administrative assistant on International Studies and Adult Education programs. During retirement she enjoyed traveling, gardening, tennis and visiting her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed winters in Florida. She also enjoyed knitting, providing many hospitals with hats for newborns.
Services were held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12 pm at Thomas E. Melvin Funeral Home in Harrington, DE.
