Eileen Murray of Farmington, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, from the Genesis-Milford Center, she was 69. She was born to the late Charles Vincent and Alice Rosenhaur.
Mrs. Murray worked at the Harrington Raceway Casino, for over 13 years, as a supervisor of the food and beverage area. She loved her job very much, and her co-workers were her second family. She never hesitated to stay longer on her own time to help out whenever needed. Mrs. Murray was also the owner and operator of the Murrays Package Store for almost 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo. She was well known for her sassy and ornery personality who could be blunt at times, but still a true giver. If you ever needed anything, she would be there for you.
She was a member of the Farmington Fire Company Ladies Auxillary for many years.
She is preceded in death by a son, Michael P. Murray; and a brother, Timothy Rosenhaur.
She is survived by a son, Vincent A. Murray Jr. of Farmington; daughter, Laura Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Charlie Rosenhaur of Westberry, NY; 5 grandchildren, and her best friend Jan Leonardi of 30 years.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 1 PM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Hollywood Cemetery.
