Edward "Buck" W. Farrall

Edward W. “Buck” Farrall, 64, of Harrington, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  He is the son of the late William E. and Elizabeth A. Farrall.

Buck worked for 25 years with the Asbestos Workers Local 42 Insulators. Following his career with them, he became a waterman, fishing for eel and minnows to sell to the local bait and tackle shops, and also crabbing and oystering.

Known to be a jack of all trades, Buck would help anyone with a job that needed to be done, and really enjoyed small engine work.  He was a hard worker, at times short tempered, with a deep love for his family, and especially his grandkids. Each year his family would enjoy going together to visit the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.  In his spare time, Buck loved to watch westerns particularly “The Rifleman”, Gunsmoke” and “Mountain Men”. He was an inactive member of Temple Lodge No. 9 A.F. & A. M. Milford, the Harrington Moose, and American Legion CKRT Post 7 Harrington.

Buck is survived by his loving wife Sharon Farrall; children Edward W. (Carrie) Farrall II, and Chrissy (Joseph) Taylor; grandchildren Caelynn, Cloe, Joseph, and Brayden; special niece and nephew Candance (Dale) Willoughby and Dennis J. (Tiffany) Johnson II; great nieces/nephews Kayla, Emma, Kaylin, and Jaxon; brothers Wm. “Bill” (Debbie) Farrall, Thomas (Lorraine) Farrall, Gary Farrall (sig other Loretta); Brenda (Carroll) Short; and many other family/friends who will miss him greatly.

A service to celebrate Buck’s life will be on Thursday, June 3 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 11 AM.  With internment following at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.  A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, June 2 from 5 PM -7PM, at the funeral home.
