Earl W. Everline of Harrington, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2012. He was 84. Mr. Everline was born to the late H. Wesley and Emma C. Everline.
Mr. Everline served his country proudly in the National Guards for seven years. He retired from DuPonts in 1985 as a pipe fitter. He also did quite a bit of farming, which was his main passion in life. He thoroughly enjoyed farming, and hated to give it up. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing Canasta and at one time he coached Little League. He loved to kid around and have fun, and his loud distinctive laugh was quite infectious.
Mr. Everline was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, and the Harrington Senior Center.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Everline; sons, Ronald W. Everline, Robert E. Everline, Michael J. Everline; and a brother, Raymond O. Everline.
He is survived by his brothers, Allen T. Everline of Greenwood, Louis P. Everline of Seaford, DE; sisters, Ann Lock of West Palm Beach, FL, Lois Hopkins of Harrington; numerous nieces and nephews; and a faithful companion, Penny the Parrott.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at 2 PM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will take palce one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
