Doris Ann Hopkins

Doris Ann Hopkins, 88, a long-time resident of Felton, DE passed away at Milford Center on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William and Anna Hayman.

Doris Ann worked for the Delaware Forest Service, and worked along side her husband in his painting jobs. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, listening to the old country music, reading books, telling stories of traveling and camping trips, going to church, and collecting colored glass. She was a member of Manship Chapel.

Doris Ann’s family would like to give a special thank you to Amy and the staff at Milford Center for taking great care of her.

In addition to her parents, Doris Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond John “Johnny Hop” Hopkins; son, John C. Hopkins; brothers, Howard, William, and Kenneth Hayman; and sisters, Louetta Shaffer, Pauline Webb, and Esther Crisp.

She is survived by her favorite nephew Jimmy Boyd (Karen) who was more like a son, and his daughters, Jennifer and Amanda Boyd that have called her mom-mom since they were able to talk. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place at Hopkins Cemetery, Felton DE, on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 12 noon.
