Doris M Clegg

Doris M. Clegg, of Harrington, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the age of 76.  She was the daughter of the late Howard Everett Argo and Mildred H. Argo.

Doris was a longtime member of the American Legion and Harrington Moose Lodge where she worked as a bartender until her retirement.

Doris was a very social, loving, and family oriented person.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren, attending picnics, BBQs, and family pig roasts where she attributed many delicious dishes.  Doris had a fondness for hummingbirds and lighthouses. She enjoyed cutting grass, and traveling, especially on cruises.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband Richard Clegg; siblings, Everett Argo, Ellen Sapp, and Clifford Argo.

Doris is survived by her children, Carla Buck, Carl Buck Jr. (Malora), Bryan Buck, Richard Clegg (Shelly), Scott Clegg, and Charles Clegg (Theresa); grandchildren, Courtney Freebairn, Noah Clegg, Tanner Buck, Charles Clegg Jr, Richard Clegg, Skylar Clegg and Corban Clegg; siblings, Gladys Argo, Ruth Ann Argo, David Argo, Sally Metzner, Ronald Argo, and Donald Argo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Clegg will be Friday, April 30, 2021, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 11 AM.  A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5 – 7 PM.  Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, immediately after the funeral.  We are adhering to the CDC and Delaware guidelines of occupancy limits, social distancing, and masks.
