Doris Marie Bostick

Doris Marie (Wroten) Bostick, Felton, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Bayhealth-Sussex Campus, she was 90.  She was born in Harrington, DE, and wife of the late, Charles W. Bostick Jr.

Mrs. Bostick graduated from Harrington High School, and worked at Playtex in Dover, as well as for the Lake Forest School District for 18 years.  She enjoyed flower arranging, camping, crafts, crocheting, and knitting.  She was a member of the Felton Fire Company Auxiliary and the Felton United Methodist Church.  She was a life member of the Frederica Senior Center, and she enjoyed being a member of the Crafty Ladies Handiwork Group from the Felton-Viola United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband Charles, she is preceded in death by her parents, Kendall and Grace Wroten; brother, Lewis Wroten; and sister in law, Patricia Wroten.

She is survived by her son, Samuel W. Bostick and his children and grandchildren, Jennifer Bostick, Michael Bostick (Amanda), Joshua Bostick, Jeremy Bostick, Spencer and Isabel; her daughter, Susan Shank (Steve) and their children and grandchildren, Amy Genda (Nick), Emily Chesser (Cody), Willow, Wesley, Stephen, Vivian, Vanessa, and Selene; and her other daughter, Lisa Chambless (Andrew) and their children, Claire Dawson (Christian), and Emma Kate Busch (Chris).

Services for Mrs. Bostick will be on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at  12 Noon.  A public visitation will be held starting at 11 AM.  Interment will be at the Camden Odd Fellows Cemetery.
