Donald Morrow Wootton

Donald Morrow Wootton, 86, of Felton, Delaware, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, after fighting a lengthy battle with dementia.

Don was born in Spartanburg, SC, February 8, 1935, to the late Winston and Kathleen Wootton. He served his country by joining the United States Air Force and fought during the Korean War.  He was a resident of the Delaware Veteran's Home in Milford, DE, at the time of his passing.

Photography was Don's profession.  While his day job was in the industrial field providing photos for government training manuals, medical use’ and architecture projects. He really loved to be where the action was, capturing sporting events, weddings, and NASCAR his favorite.

Don enjoyed watching & attending sporting events, particularly football, golf and auto racing.  He loved to play golf.

Don believed in the importance of giving to the community.  He was a volunteer paramedic, and often volunteered at the food bank and during Sunday school at his church in Mississippi.  While living in Delaware, he attended Grace and Truth Community Church in Felton.

Don adored spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  His love for his family was ever present and he will be deeply missed.  Don is survived by his loving wife, Fran, of 62 years; daughters, Donalyn Janos, Karen Bramble (Mike), and son-in-law Jeffrey Janos.  Grandchildren: Christopher Janos (Jacki), Allison Janos, Michael Robnett (Emily), Matthew Bramble (Jessica), Taylor Bramble, Caroline McCoy (Timmy).  Great grandchildren: Avery and Teagan Janos, and Bram Robnett.  Family members, John, Vicky and Greg Hinson of CA.

A Memorial service will be held at the Grace & Truth Community Church in Felton, DE, on Saturday, June 5th at 2pm.

A 2nd Memorial Service will be held at Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Annapolis, 710 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Saturday, June·12th @2pm.
