Harrington — Donald W. Murray, Sr. passed away on Sept. 14, 2014 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Darrell and Grace Murray Sr.
Mr. Murray worked in the marketing department of Harrington Raceway & Casino for the last 10 years, prior to that he worked 25 years for Colorbox. Mr. Murray was a hard worker and a family man. He was known to be social and talkative. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and his beloved best friend, Bo, his chocolate lab.
Mr. Murray enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Darrell (Sr.) and Grace Murray; brother, Darrell R. Murray, Jr.; and sister, Marsha M. Dill.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Murray of Harrington, his sons, Donald W. (Valarie) Murray, Jr. of Richmond, Ind.; Darrell D. Murray of Harrington, DE, and Robert W. (LaTishia) Murray of Farmington, DE; brothers, Marcus R. (Jean) Murray, Michael P (Sandy) Murray both of Felton; and sisters, Sharon A. (David) Pearce, Lorraine A. (Tom) Farrall, Terri L. (Brian) Gillespie all of Harrington. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Melvin Funeral Home. Visitation will take place Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Milford Community Cemetery.
