Dolores Riter

Dolores “Dee” Riter, 79, Felton, peacefully passed away on November 28, 2024 at home with her husband and caregiver by her side. She was the daughter of the late William and Alice Crossin.

Dee married Eldon on Oct. 2, 1987 and added his children, Kimberly Chambers (Bill), Mona Armstrong (John), Michael T. Riter, and the late Kerry Riter to her extended family.

In addition to her husband and his children, Dee is survived by her only sibling, Patricia Rourk; niece, Patty Tiel and many cousins in Pennsylvania.

Dee worked at Luria Bros for many years. After she married, she helped with and trained, their harness horses. The best horses were Quick Fix and Starpoint Beauty. Her time with the horses, made many new friends for Dee.

She was a wonderful wife, and my best friend. Thanks for all the fond memories, Love Eldon.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 905 New Rd., Wilmington, DE at 11 AM. A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 10 AM. Interment in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro DE will take place at a later date.
