Diana White

Diana L. White, Middletown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Genesis-Milford Center, she was 76.  Mrs. White was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late, Ernest and G. Madeline Cain.

Mrs. White was a restaurant owner and operator for many years.  She previously owned the Peoples Restaurant of Harrington and the Magnolia Restaurant.  She was a dedicated and very hard worker and enjoyed making people smile.  She loved to cook and enjoyed cooking.

Although she was a homebody, she did enjoy taking road trips to Virginia.  She was very devoted and loved her family tremendously but especially adored her grandchildren whom she loved to spoil.  She had a love for Elvis, and enjoyed watching her afternoon "stories".  Her presence and love of family will forever be felt and she will be sadly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Arnold P. White; daughter, Wanda Jean Clarke; and a sister, Mari-Jo Waugh.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine M. and Randee Smith, Jennifer L. Glenn, Rebecca L. and Chris Weiss; grandchildren, Bryan, Rob, Nikki, James, Darien, and the twins Audry and Aidan; many great grandchildren; and a sister, Ramona Malin.

Services for Mrs. White will be Wednesday, April 21, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 1PM.  A visitation for family and friends will start at 11AM.  Interment will take place immediately after the funeral at Hollywood Cemetery.  We are adhering to the CDC and Delaware guidelines of occupancy limits, social distancing, and masks.
