David “Chip” Brown, of Houston, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center at the age of 55.  He was the son of Betty L. Brown of Houston and the late Donald Brown.

Mr. Brown worked for almost 25 years with Jack Cooper Transport Inc. as an over the road car hauler.

Mr. Brown was an avid gardener who especially enjoyed his pole beans.  He enjoyed collecting things, listening to music and surf fishing.  Each year he took a vacation in order to attend the Delaware State Fair.  He loved his two dogs Charlie and Reese deeply.  Mr. Brown had a heart of gold, could make friends easily and would give you the shirt off his back.

Mr. Brown was an easy going, lovable man whose children and grandson were the apple of his eye.  His family was very important to him.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Stephen Brown.

He is survived by a son, Kyle Brown of Milford; daughter, Kirby Brown of Milford; grandson, Will Millman of Milford; two brothers, Wayne Brown of Milford and Glenn Brown of Houston; sisters, Debbie Zimmerman (Richard) of Dover and Donna Brown (Hal) of Beauford, SC; best friend, Dee Thompson of Lincoln and friend Angie Scott of Milford; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 1PM at  Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington with visitation, 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the  Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
