Corey Cohee

Corey D. Cohee, 42, of Milford, passed away on November 23, 2024 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. He was the son of Dale and Sandra Cohee.

Corey worked in the construction industry doing maintenance and operating heavy equipment.  He graduated from Milford High School in 2000. While in school, Corey played drums in the marching band and played soccer. As a teen, he had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala on a mission trip to build houses. As a result of this experience, Corey wrote several pieces of poetry detailing his love for the country and the young children he got to know while there. Corey was a past member of the Carlisle Fire Company and received a reward for being the junior member with attendance at the most fire alarms (200) in the year 2000.

Corey was a creative man with a wide variety of interests. He loved music, could play the piano, guitar, drums, and saxophone, and wrote poetry. Corey enjoyed flying, racing modified cars, and fishing. He loved to spend time with his kids. Corey was a witty, intelligent man who loved puns and dad jokes.

In addition to his parents, Corey is survived by his sons, Gavyn Cohee and Jaxton Cohee; girlfriend, Amy Simpson; and extended family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home Inc, Harrington.
