HARRINGTON — Christopher T. Carter passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was born on June 18, 1982 in Milford to Gary R. Carter, Sr. and Trena L. Carter of Harrington.
Christopher was employed by Bramble & Son of Chestertown, Md. for approx. 12 years as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, drawing, reading, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He also spent countless hours writing in his journal.
Christopher will be remembered as caring, thoughtful, and always thinking and doing for others above himself. He will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gordon R. Dale, Robert E. Carter; and nephew, James Simpler.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Savannah Baynard of Harrington; brothers, Gary Carter Jr. of Harrington and Brian Carter (Angie) of Bridgeville; nephews, Cameron Carter of Bridgeville and Brendon Shulties of Harrington; maternal grandmother, Louise Dale of Harrington; paternal grandmother, Sadie Carter of Harrington; six uncles; two aunts; and many cousins.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Heart Association.
