Charles Lester Wyatt, 82

HOUSTON — Charles Lester Wyatt passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Mr. Wyatt served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War.  After a long career as a truck driver with the Schmidt Bakery, he retired in 1994. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He loved to travel with his wife, and enjoyed going to Florida to watch spring training, and also to California and back.

He enjoyed gardening and going out to eat as well. Mr. Wyatt loved the Delaware State Fair, and  looked forward to going out there every year. He will be fondly remembered as good natured and laid
back. He was very outgoing and fun to be around. He will be sadly missed.

Mr. Wyatt was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Janette and Charles Wyatt; wife, Mildred E. Wyatt; son, Henry L. Wyatt; and grandson, Lester Wyatt.

He is survived by Sons, Charles A. (Linda) Wyatt of Seaford, Robert B. (Marty) Wyatt of Oxford, Pa.; daughter Norma Jean (Dennis) Trader of Houston; sister, Eileen Veasey of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Marie Greenly of Felton; five grandchildren, Penny, Jeff, Lora, Madi, and Cassie; and five great -grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
