Charles Lenwood Morris Sr., passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from the Seasons Hospice facility in Christiana Hospital, he was 76. Mr. Morris was born in Albemarle County Virginia to the late Dorothy Mae Morris.
Mr. Morris worked as a painter, and was a hard worker. When he was not hard at work, he loved to play horseshoes, softball, or go hunting. He was also a skilled knife sharpener, if you needed knives sharpened, he was the person to go to. Mr. Morris also enjoyed going crabbing and fishing, that is until his son hooked him in the nose. He worked on cars for other people, and would do anything in the world for you. He also enjoyed watching wrestling on TV.
Mr. Morris was a member of the Frederica Fire Co. for over 12 years. If you wanted to find Mr. Morris, all you had to do was go up to the fire hall and he would be there. Every chance he got, Mr. Morris enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. Before she passed away, he loved his wife Patsy dearly, and cherished every second he spent with her for over 25 years. He was completely devoted to her, and also loved his cherished dog, Goldy. His joking nature and laugh will be forever be missed by his family and friends.
