Charles George Cain, of Harrington, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the Genesis Center, Milford, he was a dialysis patient for the past 11 years.  Charles was born in Milford Hospital, son of the late George W. Cain and Evelyn Willis Cain.

Charles was a 1954 graduate of Harrington High School and attended Goldey Beacon College for one year.  He joined the National Guard and served for several years.

Charles grew up on a farm and thus became a self employed farmer.  He was helped by his son Greg.

Charles was a life time member of the NRA, and a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534.  He was also  a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Harrington.

Charles is predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda Lynn Cain; and a son, Glenn Cain.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor Cain of Harrington; son, Greg (Terri Hanna) Cain; daughter, Denise (Frank Yoder) Cain; grandson, Derek Hanna; granddaughter, Breeana Cain; numerous cousins, in-laws, and special friends.

Funeral services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1 PM.  A visitation for family and friends will take place starting at 11:30 AM.  Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Avenue, Harrington, DE 19952; or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
