Catherine Carpenter of Milford, Del passed away on Aug. 3, 2013. Mrs. Carpenter was the daughter of the (late) Howard and Elizabeth Anthony.
Mrs. Carpenter worked as a clerk for the J.P. Courts for 24 years. She retired from JP Court #6.
Mrs. Carpenter loved doing needlepoint and playing bingo. She enjoyed putting together picture puzzles as well as seek and find word searches. She loved to travel in her spare time. Mrs. Carpenter loved to cook for big family dinners. She often spoiled her co-workers with treats as well.
Mrs. Carpenter loved her family and grandchildren. They were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by: her husbands Lloyd A. Dimmitt and William G. Carpenter and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Chisenhall (Jason) of Milford, Sharon Murphy (William) of Georgia; sister, Phoebe Anthony of Harrington; grandchildren, Eric and Elizabeth Layton, Barbara (Tim) Hudson, Beverly (Gene) Cowart and Keith (Sonja) Walls; 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great children.
Service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1pm, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
Visitation will be 6-8pm on Wednesday Aug 7. 2013.
Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
