Carroll Thomas Elliott Sr., 77
SEAFORD — Carroll Thomas Elliott Sr. passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, from his home. Mr. Elliott was born in Altavista, Va. to the late Thomas Ryland and Hettie Irene Elliott.
Mr. Elliott served his country proudly in the US Air Force, and served stateside during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the military, Mr. Elliott rose in the ranks to become Lieutenant in the Newport News Police Department. He also served as a special investigator for the Louisa County Virginia Sheriffs Department, and was a member of the FBI National Academy 77th session.
Mr. Elliott’s other accomplishments include being a member of the Scottish Rite 32nd degree in Richmond, VA, Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star in Louisa, Va., Noble of the Mystic Shrines in Temple in Richmond, Va., and also sat on the Delaware Governors Committee for Welfare Employment. Mr. Elliott was also a beloved Baltimore Orioles fan, and the all time Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man champion. His family will remember him as a loving and caring husband and father who will be sadly missed.
Mr. Elliott is predeceased by his son, Carroll Thomas Elliott II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Cain Elliott of Seaford; his loving children, Mary Jo (Corey L.) Milligan of Frankford, Harold Fredrick (Janice C.) Elliott of Bethel; Deborah A. (George W.) Davidson of Richmond, VA; his loving grandchildren, Benjamin C. Elliott, Samantha M. McMasters, Chase R. Milligan, Tanner B. Milligan, Joseph C. Davidson; and two brothers, James E. Elliott of Tennessee and David W. Elliott of Virginia.
The memorial service and interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Del. 19966, on Monday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m.
