Carol Campbell

Carol M. Campbell, Harrington, passed away on January 13, 2024 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus, at the age of 62.  She was the daughter of the late Leona and John T. Kelley, Sr. Carol worked as a manager at KFC in Smyrna, Dover, and Milford for 20 years.  She spent the last 20 years as a homemaker, spoiling her grandchildren and family. Carol was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Camden and attended Prospect Church in Harrington.

Carol was the best of the best, best wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who enjoyed spoiling everyone around her.  She was an outgoing, compassionate person who wanted to the fufill the needs of others.  Carol was giddy, loved to laugh as well as make others laugh. She enjoyed being crafty, making flower arrangements and wreaths, fishing, camping, and going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her daughter, Kelley Campbell.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James Campbell; son, Joshua “JJ” VanArsdall (Jackie); grandchildren, Michael, Josh Jr. and Isabelle; a brother, John T. Kelley, Jr; a sister, Darlene Richardson; and extended family.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 1 PM.  A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 12 Noon.
