Carl R. Buck, Sr.

Carl R. Buck, Sr., 81, of Marydel passed away at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital surrounded by his family, on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was the son of the late Ethel M. and Carl W. Buck.

After high school, Carl entered the US Air Force and then went to work for General Foods. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and Indy races in the basement with his buddies, watching boxing and animal shows, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Carl was the secretary and past president of his local hunting club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #2 Dover.

Carl was a strong, loving, witty man who liked to joke around and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife Katherine, son Carl R. Buck, Jr, and sister Judy Smith.

He is survived by his children, Bryan Buck, Carla Buck, Patty Collison; daughter-in-law Malora Buck; grandchildren, Tanner Buck, Heather Shutack, Tara Reedy; and great-grandson Brycen.

A Celebration of Life will be held Trinity United Methodist Church, 63 Commerce St., Harrington, DE on December 2, 2023 at 12 noon.
