Brooke Dean

Brooke Dean, 24, Harrington, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021, at Christiana Care Hospital. She was born December 23, 1996, in Dover, to her mother, Kimberley J. Dean, and father, Dale Dean.

Brooke graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2018 where she was a member of the Track & Field Team. Her brightest high school memory was being nominated Prom Queen her senior year.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She enjoyed time with her family, going to the park, YouTube, car rides with her sister, praising the Lord, as well as tasks that exhibited her creativity. Brooke’s love for the beach began with vacations to Indian River Inlet which brought her an abundance of lifelong friends. Her bright smile, caring heart, and infectious laughter naturally lit up every room she entered. She had an especially unique bond with her sister, Bailey. They were each other’s best friends and the memories they share together are unlike any other. Although Brooke’s time was cut short, she certainly touched the hearts of everyone she met and taught the people nearest to her that it’s the little things in life that matter most.

Brooke is predeceased by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale V. Dean; Pop-Pop Hartly (Edward C. Lewis); Mom-Mom New Hampshire (Sarah A. Lewis); Aunt, Denise Lucas; and Uncle Paul Chandler.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Bailey Dean; mom-mom Hartly (Linda Lewis); aunts, Donna Chandler, Donna Dixon; cousins, Sam Forester, Brian Lucas, Christopher Lucas, Travis Dixon; godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fraley; and numerous other loving relatives.

A Celebration of Life Service for Brooke will be on Wednesday, March 10th at the Harrington Fire Hall at 1PM.  A walk through visitation will be held at the firehall starting at 11AM.  Interment will take place after her service at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.  We are adhering to covid restrictions in place to include masks, social distancing, and occupancy limits.
