Brenda Lee Walsh, of Farmington, passed away peacefully in her home, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer on Sunday, May 3, 2015. She was 54. Brenda was born on Oct. 7, 1960 in Milford, DE to the late William and Marion Knox.
Brenda attended Woodbridge High School and was a member of the class of 1978. She married Patrick Walsh on June 10, 1978 in Farmington, DE where the couple then lived and raised their three children. Brenda was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed many hobbies which included bowling and tending to her flower garden. She was an avid sports fan as well. She was a Jimmie Johnson fan, Miami Dolphins fan, and a Baltimore Orioles fan. When she wasn't watching sports or outside planting flowers, you could find her reading any book written by Danielle Steel. She was a wonderful neighbor and a fantastic friend to many.
Brenda was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and fought her battle with dignity and grace, even up until the end. She remained positive and kept her will alive despite any obstacle and setbacks.
She will be remembered as a very loving and caring person who would do anything for anybody. She will be truly missed by her family and close friends.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 37 years, Patrick E. Walsh of Farmington; son, Joshua E. Walsh of Farmington; daughters, Jamie Brittingham of Harrington, Ashley Caseley of Farmington; siblings, Mace Rust, Billy Knox, Scott Knox, Diane Knox, and Kenny Knox; 2 son in laws, 3 sister in laws, 8 grandchildren, and her God Son, Mace Rust II and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 7 PM, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
