Betty L. Reimer

Betty L. (Darling) Reimer, of Felton, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, from Genesis Milford Center, she was 84.  Betty was born to the late Kennard and Mary Darling.

Betty worked for over 30 years as a sales clerk for J.C. Penney in Dover in the linen and drapery department.  She loved what she did and was a hard worker.

In her younger days, Betty was quite the dancer on roller skates.  She loved to sew, and enjoyed making her kids Easter outfits every year.  Betty enjoyed shopping and attending church.  She was always there for her children and taught them responsibility as they were growing up.  She made sure they completed their daily chores to keep the house running smoothly while she was at work.  She passed along to them important life lessons that she learned through her life and experiences.  She loved her family immensely, was always there for them when needed, and will be remembered as a caring and loving mother and grandmother.

Betty is predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Darling; grandson, Bryan Killen and a granddaughter, Heather Lee Quillen.

She is survived by her loving family, daughters, M. Trudy Quillen of Felton, Brenda Lee Waite of Harrington; sons, Alan Quillen of Felton, Kenneth W. Quillen of Magnolia; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 1 PM .  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
