Bette L. Tharp of Milford, DE went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015, from the Milford Center, she was 80. Mrs. Tharp was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Howard and Mary Fogle.
Mrs. Tharp worked for many years at English’s Restaurant before deciding to be a homemaker. She became a stay at home mom who took great care of her family. She took pride in making sure the house ran smoothly as well as being involved in her grandchildren’s lives. In her spare time, Mrs. Tharp enjoyed singing.
She was a member of the Frederica Senior Center. She faithfully attended the Milford Nazarene Church, which was always a priority in her household and she had the privilege of going on many missionary trips with her husband. She will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas and Gene Fogle.
Survivors include her loving Husband of 63 years, Noah Tharp of Milford; her children, Rev. Noah (Linda) Tharp III of Bel Air MD, Christopher (Anna) Tharp of Felton DE, Rev. David (Cindi) Tharp of Ft Worth, TX, and Bette Ann (Rev. Steve) Logsdon of Brookton Dale, NY; brother, Howard Fogle of Cape Cod, MA; and sister, Barbara Gunther of Pasadena, MD; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 11am at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington.
