HARRINGTON — Bernard 'Jay' Malin passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at his home.
Jay served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy for three years. He worked as a Die Cut Operator for Color Box of Harrington. When he was not hard at work, Jay enjoyed playing shuffleboard, and loved to talk about sports and politics. One of his favorite activities (that he LOVED) was cutting grass. He had an outgoing personality and made friends very easily. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jay was a very active member of the American Legion Post 7 and the Harrington Moose Lodge #534.
Jay is survived by his parents, Thomas Malin of Felton and Judith Nulton of Milton; his loving wife, Diana Malin of Harrington; step-daughter, Shelby Risinger of Harrington; brother, Danny Malin Jr. of Georgetown, Del. ; sisters, Terri Tyler of Fla. and Yvette Lepley of Punxsutawney, Pa.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE. Interment will follow at the Milford Community Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m .
