GEORGETOWN - Barbara Ann Maqbool passed away Sat., Sept. 7, 2013 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was the daughter of the late Carroll and Ruth Ann Maloney.

Mrs. Maqbool was a homemaker. She was a great wife and took exceptional care of her family. According to her son, Ryan, she was the best mom that anyone could ask for. Her loving and caring nature were ever present and she would do anything for him. Mrs. Maqbool had a big heart and loved to give gifts to everyone that she loved. She would even give you the shirt off of her back if you truly needed it.

Mrs. Maqbool was an avid reader and enjoyed watching old TV shows. Her favorites were I Love Lucy and Carol Burnett. She was also an animal lover. She loved her dogs and her cat, "Baby Girl." She used to have birds and her husband, Qamar, would build her bird cages to keep them in. She also enjoyed keeping the outside birds well fed.

Mrs. Maqbool will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed spending every waking moment with her family and close friends and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Qamar Maqbool of Georgetown; son, Ryan Q. Maqbool of Georgetown; brother, Timothy Maloney, Sr. (Kelley) of Houston; sister, Marlene Baldwin (David) of Richmond, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 13, 2013 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
