Audrey Billings

Audrey J. Billings was born on September 29, 1926 to the late George and Catherine Arrington.
Audrey passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at the age of 87.

Audrey was a manager at Silco in Dover and Harrington for a time before she married her husband Clarence.  Once they married, she became a homemaker and stay at home mom.  In her younger years, she was an airplane spotter during WWII for the Civil Air Patrol.  Audrey was a member of the American Legion and the Harrington Moose Lodge #534. Audrey was president and a very active member of the Harrington Century Club for many years.  In addition she was a member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she was a C.C.D. Teacher and a Eucharist Minister. In her spare time, she sold Avon and enjoyed crocheting. Audrey loved the beach and spending time with her family.

Audrey was the BEST wife, mother, grandmother, and gram. She will be remembered most for always having a kind word of encouragement or a gentle nudge whenever it was needed. Her family was her priority and always came first.  Her love was unconditional, unwavering, and freely given.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph L. Gray; daughter, Doreen Gray Rogers; brother, George Arrington; sister, Dorothy Allen; Great Grandchild, Owen N. Klaus.

Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Clarence Billings of Milford; Son, Joseph L Gray and spouse Lily of Harrington; Daughter, Heather A. Billings and spouse Michelle Willyard of Bixby, OK; Son-in-law, Wayne Rogers of Milford; Grandchildren, Lorrie & Jimmy Sylvester, Tina Harrington, Lew & Wendy Harrington, Dawn & Eddie Pusey, Chad Harrington, Kelly Gray, Deanna Gray, Jordan Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Kyle Rogers; Great Grandchildren, Tyler Galbreath, Cody Sylvester, Anna Harrington, Ben Harrington, Miranda Walker, L.B. Harrington, Shane Sylvester, Brett Harrington, Matt Pusey, Mae Harrington, and Melea Pusey;  Great Great Grandchildren, Collin Galbreath and Beau Galbreath.

Christian Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday  June 9, 2014, at St. Bernadette’s  Catholic Church, Harrington.  Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
