Arnold R. "Randy" Hockensmith

d. May 5, 2024

Arnold Randell "Randy" Hockensmith, FELTON, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, 2024, he was 65.  Randy was born in Bennettsville, SC to the late, Cyril J. and Ruthie Hockensmith.

Randy served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp, something he was extremely honored to have done.  He loved to talk about his time in the Marines to anyone that would listen.

Randy worked as a handyman and loved helping others.  He was a very giving person and volunteered his time freely whenever he could, especially to his church, or to anyone in need.  In his free time, he loved to go freshwater fishing and hook a nice bass, or go to their camper at Holly Lake Campsite.  He enjoyed all sports, especially football, and also horse racing.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family, and spoiling his grandchildren.  Randy always tried to remain upbeat and positive, and you could always find him humming and singing throughout his day.   He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be sorely missed.

Randy was a member of the Lifeway Church of God in Bridgeville.  Before Covid, he was also active and supported the Saturday ministries of the Agape Church in Milford.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Megan Marie Hockensmith, Amanda Nicole Hockensmith, Amber Rose Hockensmith; and a brother, Joseph Hockensmith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Hockensmith; son, Todd Hockensmith; brother, Kenneth Hockensmith (Sharon); sister, Cindy Garrard (LaDone); grandchildren, Julian Hockensmith, Justice Simon, Izayah Wright, Cee'Anna Simon, Scarlett Hockensmith; several nieces and nephews, cousins.
