Anne Marie Tate

Anne Marie Tate, 76, Lincoln, passed away on September 1, 2024 at home with her family. She was the daughter of the late William G. and Anne Rafter.

Ms. Tate always upbeat and tried to put a positive spin on any situation by using her sense of humor.  She loved Christmas, decorating the house from top to bottom, and baking hundreds of cookies, fudge, and holiday pies. Ms. Tate was an outgoing Disney fan, always going to the Disney store to buy the latest Disney movie for her grandchildren.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, often spoiling them with gifts.  She also enjoyed going to the beach and lighthouses.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Rafter.

Ms. Tate is survived by her children, Anne Marie Lyons (Tom), J.T. Tate (Stacy), and Bill Tate; grandchildren, Brittany Tate, J.T. Tate III, Michael Tate, Darian Carroll, John Carroll III, Skylar Carroll, Hunter Tate, Jordin Tate, Kolt Lyons and Clifford Lyons; great grandchildren, Nathan Tate, Alanis Jackson, Hunter Morgan, and Chelsey Dill; brother, Martin Rafter and her extended family.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc. at 11 AM.  A visitation will take place one hour prior, starting at 10 AM.
