Alfred Whitaker

Alfred “Al” Whitaker, formerly of Valley Stream NY, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the age of 80.  He was the son of the late Alfred and Helen Whitaker.

Al was a Union Local 1 plumber..

Al was known to be direct; telling it like it was with no filter. He enjoyed life, he liked to joke around, eat, and go to the casinos. Al will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Whitaker; son, Alfred Whitaker Jr. (Marygrace); daughter, Denise Straggi (Joseph), 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brother, Richard Whitaker (Michele), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a memorial service at a St. Joseph’s Parish, 59 Church St, Kings Park NY, February 20, 2021 at 10:30 AM.
