Matthew David Butler

Matthew David Butler, Harrington, went to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, he was 39.

Matt worked as an EMT serving various fire departments including Harrington, Houston, Bowers, and Frederica.

 Matt enjoyed spending time with his family.  He enjoyed camping with his kids and wife, riding dirt bikes, cooking meals for them, and loved to cut grass.  He loved to attend his children's sporting events and even coached when he could.  Matt lived his life for his family.  He could be stubborn at times when it came to himself, but when it came to his family, he was the most caring, loving, and devoted husband, father, and son, that anyone could ever ask for.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Libby and David Butler, Matt is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gina Butler; three children, McKenzie Butler, Bethany Butler, and Ezra Butler; a sister, Tammy Lee and her children, Allison Jones and Rebecca Lee; mother and father in law, Darlene and Lawson Losh; and Matt's favorite wrestling buddy, the family dog, Dory.

Services will take place at the church Matt attended, Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Avenue, Harrington, DE, on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 3 pm with a visitation for family and friends starting one hour prior.  Interment will immediately follow the service at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
