Larry D. Rash Sr.

Larry D. Rash Sr., of Greenwood, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at Delaware Hospice Center of Milford, he was 79.  He was the son of the late, Addison and Leta Collins.

Mr. Rash worked in management his entire life to include the DuPont Company of Seaford, and the Frederica ILC. He is a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Mr. Rash loved to golf with his friends, as well as fishing and boating.  He enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, and cooking as well.  He was an avid reader who could recite chapters he had read, plus he enjoyed puzzle books. Mr. Rash was an all-around great guy with a heart of gold.  He was a determined, conservative man who loved to spend time with his grandchildren and close friends.  He will be missed by many.

Mr. Rash was a former member of the Harrington Moose Lodge.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rash is preceded in death by his son, Larry Rash Jr.

Mr. Rash is survived by son, David Rash (Linda Dear); grandchildren, Christopher Logan Rash, Katie and Buddy Hopkins; best friends, Wanda, Sam & Leslie Alberta, Frannie & Gordon, Ruth Ann & Bobby.

Services will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at   Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 1 PM.  Interment will follow at the St. Johnstown Cemetery.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.
