Phillip Halter

Phillip S. Halter, 86, of Felton, peacefully passed on April 15, 2024 at the Bayhealth Sussex Campus. 

The son of the late Wilbur and Blanche Halter, Phillip was a quiet man with a witty sense of humor.  An Air Force veteran, he enjoyed reading, feeding the birds, tackling sudoku puzzles and playing poker with neighbor friends.  Phillip enjoyed traveling with his wife, June; Hawaii was a favorite location of theirs. Phillip will be missed by all who knew him.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June Halter; his son Scott Halter and his wife Rita, his daughter Melinda Downs and her husband Bill, his grandson Henry Downs, and his sister Phyllis Halter.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home Inc, Harrington.
