HARRINGTON — Leonard D. Donovan passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at his home. Leonard was born in Pasadena, Calif. to the late, Leonard Donovan and Elizabeth Donovan of Harrington. He was 64.
Leonard worked as a roofer for most of his life. He currently worked at Quality Exteriors of Harrington as a roofer and sales bids. He was a hard worker and very committed to his job. Whether it was staying late during the week or putting in hours on the weekend, he made sure the job got done. When he was not busy working, he did enjoy watching football and cheering on his team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved to listen to music of all kinds, be around animals, and kidding around. Leonard was known for his dry sense of humor and sarcastic nature. He will be remembered as loving and considerate of others. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his father, Leonard was predeceased by his a brother, Jack Donovan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Cassie (Donovan) and huband Chad Connelly of Seaford; brother, Mitchell Donovan of Ellicott City, Md.; his girlfriend, Linda Morlang of Harrington, and many relatives, friends and acquaintances.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 12 p.m., at the Quality Exteriors Building on the corner of Rt. 13 and Hopkins Cemetery Road in Harrington. In memory of Leonard, the family requests that Hawaiian shirts be worn for the service.
