Geraldine F. Kassick

Geraldine F. "Gerry" Kassick passed away, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Bayhealth, Milford Memorial Hospital.  She was born 83 years ago in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late Pauline F. and Norman Fisher. 

Mrs. Kassick was a homemaker, who diligently raised 5 children.  She enjoyed traveling extensively across the United States.  Born as a fisherman's daughter, she truly loved being around the beach.  Mrs. Kassick loved to read and was a supporter of the Harrington Public Library.  She was also a supporter and contributor to The Alzheimer's Society.  She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Chief Warrant Officer, Edward T. Kassick of the United States Coast Guard; her 5 children, Annette Adams (John) of Seaford, DE, Thomas E. Kassick (Carrie) of Linwood, NJ., Rita Kassick Thorpe (Paul Cooper) of  Fenwick Island, DE, Glenn M. Kassick of Seaford, DE, and Teresa Vance of Cape May, NJ.  She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, John Edward Adams, Nicole Adams, Justin Kassick, Arienne Hurder, Joshua Kassick, Shannan Thorpe, Shane Thorpe, Kyle Kassick, Danielle Kassick, Krystle Vance, Chritian Vance; and 7 great children, Tyler Minegar, Mason Minegar, Riley Minegar, Colin  Kassick , Mia Kassick, Isaiah Vance, Micah Vance.  She was also loved by her extended family, brother and sister in laws, nieces, and nephews.
 

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon Street, Harrington, DE, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Alzheimer's Society.
