Faye Moore

Faye Kates Moore, age 51, of Harrington, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016.  Faye was born in Milford, DE to parents, Linwood and Doris Kates of Harrington.

Faye was a homemaker.  She graduated from Lake Forest High School, class of 1983, where she was a majorette in the marching band.  Faye dedicated her life to her family. She cherished time spent with her kids and grandchildren, whom she spoiled tremendously.  She was always there for her children and grandchildren whenever needed.  Faye loved music, and loved listening to the Goo Goo Dolls.

Faye will be remembered as a strong woman.  She was always joking, being funny,  and telling stories.  Through her humor and wit, she made sure you left happier then when you arrived.  Her selfless and giving nature will always be remembered and missed.

In addition to her parents, Faye is survived by her sons, David (Elizabeth) Moore of Harrington, Jason (Brittany) Moore of Greenwood; daughter, Melissa Moore of Greenwood; Sisters, Linda Barlow of Greenwood, Connie Thompson of Felton, Ruth Ann Peterman of Greenwood; brother, Roger Kates of Harrington; grandchildren, Aubrey Goslee, Bristol Moore, and one on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11 AM.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service, interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
