Welcome to the memorial page for

Eric J. Armstrong

January 7, 2016

Eric Joseph Armstrong passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, he was 24 years old.  Eric was born in Milford, DE to Kenneth Armstrong and Jacklyn Smith.

Eric worked as a mechanic for Smitty's Auto Repair of Harrington, which is owned by his step father.  Eric was always dependable , eager to work, and always willing to learn new things.  When he was not at work, he could be found at the bowling alley or hunting.  He was an accomplished bowler and bowled on a league.  Hunting was his passion, and he loved to spend time in the woods hunting deer with his bow.  Eric also enjoyed to garden and especially loved to grow tomatoes.   In his mind, there was no other team to root for then the Washington Redskins, which he was a devout fan.

Eric will be remembered as passionate and loving.  He had a fighting spirit and stuck up for what he believed in whether right or wrong, it made no difference to him.  What he believed is what he believed.  Eric will also be remembered for his big heart.  He was very protective of his family, and loved nothing more then to spend time with his family.  He especially loved his baby brother whom he looked forward to playing with every night.  His smile and love of life will forever be missed by his loving and devoted family who loved him very much.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph Covey, Ruth and Joseph Armstrong, Joey Armstrong, and Beverly Workman.

Eric is survived by his father and step mother, Kenny and Kathy Armstrong; mother and step father, Jacklyn and Tony Smith; brothers, Brendon (Boo) Armstrong, Noah Smith, Andrew Syester; sisters, Amber (Chris) Bostwick, Catie Wessel, Taylor Wessel, Mikaela Smith, Syerra Smith; grandparents, Candy Covey, Gloria Workman, Dave and Barney Smith, Carl Smith, Carol and Steve Bockowski; niece, Grace Bostwick; close friend, Justin Howell; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and the family dog, Beau.
